On June 20th, 2008, for the very first time in the history of the state of Florida, the game of blackjack will be offered in South Florida casino facility. The Seminole tribe will offer blackjack and other card games on June 22nd, 2008 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood.
The casino is already offering Class III slot machines and high-stakes poker games. Governor Charlie Crist from the Republican Party has approved the gambling compact with the Seminole Tribe on November 17th, 2007 that have allowed the casino card games to be offered at the seven casino facilities of the Seminole Tribe in Florida. With the debut of the brand new casino card games, the tribe has been looking, hiring and training new casino card game croupiers.
The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino has an initial offering of seventy-one blackjack tables. A local slots enthusiast, Ray Nickels commented that blackjack is a casino card game where you can enjoy without losing all of your belongings.
An organization that is criticizing the new casino card games has filed a case against Governor Charlie Crist saying that it is not right for the Governor to make such a decision for the state without consulting the legislature first about the issue.
