The Blackjack Institute announced that a seminar for blackjack enthusiasts will be held on February 24, 2007. The seminar will be lead by the dynamic duo of Mike Aponte and David Irvine at the new Platinum Hotel and Spa. The 2 are former members of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's blackjack team that won millions at casinos.
In the one day seminar, which will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 5:00 p.m, Aponte and Irvine will impart and share their knowledge of the game of blackjack. The cost of the seminar is $899 and it includes a complete day of instruction, blackjack exercises, game tips and a luncheon where attendees of the seminar will learn the success story of the MIT blackjack team. Organizers said that they would accept only 50 attendees in order to enable focus attention on each student.
According to Aponte, blackjack is still one of the leading card games being played at casinos and the reason is that blackjack is simple to play and it can easily be conquered. However, Aponte further states that the problem is that not all blackjack strategy books are effective, which is why they are offering instructional programs for blackjack players.
