A future casino would fund education in Chicago and Illinois. The State's first land-base casino is proposed by Gubernatorial Candidate Judy Baar Topinka. The profit from the casino would help to fund education of the state. The casino would offer the game of blackjack.
Total revenue of $1 billion per year are expected in the new casino facilities in Chicago which would benefit the state said the republican candidate for governor.
The earnings of the casino from blackjack will benefit the school. Part of the profit of the blackjack games will help the state build roads and to help underwrite a property tax freeze.
Despite the benefit the casino blackjack games could give the state, residents are still unacceptable of the idea of the blackjack facility in their state. Sumith Matther said, "I don't think it's a good idea to use a casino to erase the budget because I'm a Christian and I believe in the bible. A casino is just a degradation of the society."
One resident doesn't mind the idea of building a blackjack casino in the state. Anna Skiba said, "I think it would be a good idea, it would draw a lot of people in and that would help pay for the education for the people, kids."
A blackjack casino is fit to be built at Chicago because world-class cities have casinos and so Chicago must have it too, Topinka exclaimed.
