According to statistics, the global online gaming industry is anticipated to expand up to 10% every year. This is because an increasing number of gamblers have made the switch from land based gambling establishments to enjoy the privacy, comfort and convenience that online casino sites offer.
It was predicted by independent auditors PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) that the revenues of internet gambling and casinos around the world will increase by 9.2% annually until 2015. What’s more, they are anticipated to increase from $117.7 billion in 2010 to $182.8 billion by 2015.
According to PwC, Asia’s online gambling industry is expected to expand the most, particularly Macau, where some of the largest casinos in the world exist. However, Asia is not the only industry that promises to show major growth. The UK has one of the world’s fastest expanding online gaming markets due to the fact that it is one of the only countries that has legalized and regulated internet gambling, collecting taxes on it.
