West Virginia to Test Casino Table Games Like Blackjack

On December 17th, 2007, Western Pennsylvanians who enjoy playing at casinos would not have to travel for a long time from their homes in order to play blackjack, craps or roulette. Two months after the 24 hour poker rooms launched at both Wheeling Island and Mountaineer Casino and Resorts are getting ready to up the stakes even more.

Several brand new casino table games like craps, roulette, blackjack and three card poker are set to be launched later this week. The casinos triumphed at a referendum held at the end of June to have the casino table games. The casinos held test runs for the new facilities that will house the casino table games.

The proceeds will be donated to the Weirton Area United Way and other charities. The visitors planning to attend the charity night are not required to make any reservations but they have to pay the $25 entry fee. The visitors will get $500 in play chips that can be exchanged for non-value gambling chips.

The slots establishments in Pennsylvania have given some serious competition for West Virginia's gambling establishments but West Virginia casino facilities have up the game in order to attract customers. Officials are hoping that the casino table games will attract VIP's and a younger set of customers.

The casino table games in West Virginia have renewed the call of Pennsylvania legislators to legalize casino table games.
